I’m so happy to be back! The holidays were great but seem far away now. Straight back into the routine and teaching 18 hours this year has sure changed my days! But now that I’m settled, I have time to try new recipes and get back to my blog! I’ve kept my eyes open this summer when visiting markets and walking around Europe, taking in inspiration from everywhere I could. Sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to and sometimes there’s not much you can do about it. There’s only one option for me when it happens and that is to just suck it up, live with it and make the most of the situation! I was supposed to travel to Madrid with my family for little break but due to red-tape issues, I am bound to Luanda. Butternut squash a winter vegetable, say what? Nah, butternut squash for me is an everyday vegetable! I eat it all year round and never get tired of it. It marries well with everything: in soups it’s the king, in curries, in pancakes and of course in salads. My absolute favourite is oven-roasted butternut squash, drizzled with olive oil and fresh oregano leaves. I think I eat it once a week if not more. Continue reading
Yeah! It’s the weekend which means two days of bumming about the house and the pool, doing absolutely nothing! It’s the perfect time to catch up on some sewing and beading. Actually, I’ve been trying to make bread and more importantly I’ve been trying to make a sourdough starter which is giving me a right headache! I’ve tried so many different recipes, exchanged with experts on IG but so far I’ve haven’t managed to keep it alive for more than 4 days.
